Moderna to supply 10.8 million Covid-19 vaccines to Colombia

Colombia has signed a contract to procure an additional 10.8 million doses of Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine Spikevax.

The Colombian National Institute for Food and Drug Surveillance (Invima) has granted Spikevax emergency use authorization (EUA) for the active immunization of people aged 12 years and older against Covid-19.

In February last year, a contract was signed to supply ten million doses of messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) vaccine.

Under the previous deal, doses were already delivered to the country last year.

It is anticipated that the company will provide one million doses of the vaccine in the first quarter of this year in accordance with the latest agreement.
