EMD Serono reduces carbon footprint

New Pharmaceutical Packaging Lowers Carbon Footprint by 33%

EMD Serono, the healthcare business of Merck launched its new Slim Pack fertility medication packaging.

This new carton is 40% smaller than its predecessor in order to reduce its environmental impact and improve customer convenience. Additionally, the new packaging design eliminates plastic trays, which makes the packaging 100% recyclable and reduces plastic waste by 180 metric tons per year.
