The “Plastics Academy” by Bormioli Pharma launches next month! Frontier training program for processing technicians is launches

In October, Bormioli Pharma will launch their frontier training program, the “Plastic Academy” in an effort to encourage new, young participants into the plastic’s processing technician field. The program aims to educate students on plastic processing fundamentals and will span over three weeks, taking place at the Castelguelfo plant in Italy. The course has been created in partnership with French multinational human resources employment agency, Synergia Italia, the fifth largest employment agency in Europe with over 700 branches worldwide.

        Studying raw materials, mold design, and a range of plastics processing methods and product quality standard fundamentals, the course will cover essential topics and skills necessary for understanding plastic processing. The main goal of this program is to offer a solid technical foundation to participants and the opportunity to work for the Bormioli Pharma Group.

This sentiment is reiterated by HR Manager of the Bormioli Pharma Group’s Plastics Division, Debora Grieco. “As a specialised manufacturing company, we feel the need to bridge the gap between the world of education and the world of work by offering a highly professionalising pathway that can transfer high skills and knowledge of plastics production processes”.

Students who successfully complete the academy and are deemed “deserving” will be offered contracts for technical positions within the business.

Furthermore, the introduction of the Plastic Academy ensures that Bormioli Pharma maintains its highly environmentally conscious stance, and follows a series of product launches this year which endeavour to improve the sustainability of pharmaceutical packaging.
