Bernd is a Senior Prefilled Syringe and Medical Device Expert with more than 20 years of experience
in the medical device and pharmaceutical industry in various roles. He has specific technical expertise
in pharmaceutical and functional requirements of primary packaging, medical devices, glass, polymer
material and elastomers.
Working in the Prefilled Syringe Center of Excellence at Gerresheimer, Bernd leads an application
team of scientists and engineers to optimize specific drug delivery solutions for biopharmaceuticals,
ophthalmic and small molecules. Bernd is biologist by education and before joining Gerresheimer he
spent several years in biostatistics as well as optoelectronics and pharma sales.
